"This scholarship changed my life, giving me the strength to dream again."
Arif's journey is nothing short of remarkable. Growing up in tough economic conditions, he almost gave up on his education. He was on the verge of leaving 10th grade before the SSC finals due to financial difficulties. Fortunately, a nonprofit stepped in just in time to help him finish his SSC exams. Now, Arif is thrilled to start college in a few months, majoring in Power Technology. The CFH Scholarship was a pleasant surprise. He was so overwhelmed with joy that he cried when he received the news. Life hasn't been easy for Arif's family. His older brother had to enter the workforce right after finishing SSC to support them. Their father, suffering from tuberculosis, and their mother, battling severe asthma, are unable to work. The situation is so dire that Arif's parents had to travel from Dhaka to Rajshahi for affordable treatment. His brother is working as a delivery man for a local company. Arif is immensely grateful for the chance to continue his education. He hopes to one day help his brother with the family expenses and give him a much-needed break. To the generous donors, Arif sends his heartfelt thanks. Your support has changed his life and is helping him build a better future.
A scholarship program for marginalized students in Bangladesh has the power to make a transformative difference in the lives of children who are on the verge of leaving school due to extreme poverty.
